EarthTrek Photos and Fabric
“I grew up near the seacoast of New Hampshire and I spent much of my time wandering the woods with my brothers while appreciating all the little things which surrounded me. Much of what I saw in the natural world carried through into art. Over the years I have worked in a number of different mediums, from beadwork to pottery, charcoal to oil pastels. In the past couple of years my interest in photography has started to blossom and become a passion of mine. A challenge. I’m always looking for the new perspective, the angle others haven’t seen or the view they don’t get the time to appreciate. I definitely live by this saying: To overlook the little things in life is to miss the biggest part of life itself.
Recently I inherited my grandmother’s sewing machine and of course this has taken me on a new twist in my arts and crafts. I am constantly trying to find ways to reduce my impact on the earth. I started making decorative “paper” towels to reduce the amount of waste in my life and it quickly became a passion. I hope you enjoy my images and fabric play as much as I do.”
